Project 365, days 253-259

The theme this week is fall—the leaves are changing color, the sun is setting earlier, the finches are losing their bright summer colors, and the weather is getting crisp enough for pants (and yes, he wore the exact same outfit on two days this week, once to go for a walk along the river by the library, and again a few days later to walk to the mailbox). We also spent a day at the zoo, and I spent a day musing about Vacuuming around life.

Project 365, days 232-238

One last day on the lake up north, visiting an historic railroad on the way home; a tea party with a friend; lazy road workers bring hilarity to our day; fun in the new dino sandbox; flowers are still blooming in the yard; keeping a close eye on our chrysalises, but we're thinking they might winter over with us.

Project 365, days 210-217

211—Readying the ground for the new garden; 212—shoveling 5 cubic yards of dirt into the new garden; 213—coming to dinner dirty (it's a lot of gardening); 214—finally the finished product; 215—happy mushrooms on our evening walk; 216—watering the new (and old) plants; 217—our neighbor mowing the empty lot in wife-beater, hot pink shorts, and a cowboy hat. Yeehaw.

Project 365, days 29-35

Better late than never?

Went to the resale fill-a-bag Mom's Club event (ask me if you want to know more), and scored 22 items of clothing PLUS this great cow outfit for dress-up purposes for a total of $10; So excited about the first day of swim class he wore his swim suit to breakfast, complete with slippers; spent the weekend working into the wee hours of morning on a work project; started off the month of love with a new hand-made wreath; tried a pretty good granola recipe that turned out to be a winner; enjoyed some quiet days of sunshine...yes, sunshine; library day, one of our favorite days.
